The fractional share model allows a prospective thoroughbred racehorse to be syndicated in fractional shares. Shares start at 2.5% stakes based upon the agreed upon value of the thoroughbred. Most syndicates will charge 400% over purchase price to syndicate a horse. A 100k horse is sold to shareholders at a price of 400k. Blue Hen Thoroughbreds aims to be more transparent and our primary goal is for shareholders to make a bit of money and also have fun without a heavy financial burden.
