Our History
Founded in 2023, Blue Hen Thoroughbreds, LLC strives to be a leader in thoroughbred micro-share syndication; emphasizing the maternal lineage of the thoroughbred. The term "blue hen mare" comes from a mare that has produced multiple champions or stakes winners. These mares are foundational thoroughbreds that have imprinted their importance on developing the breed. Blue Hen Thoroughbreds aims to breed and/or purchase young fillies where syndicate owners can take part from the time of birth through their race career till they ultimately retire and become mothers to the next generation of thoroughbreds.
Our Team
Owner and Founder, Justin Miller, is a longstanding horsemen in the thoroughbred industry. His hands on experience in all aspects of the industry have afforded him the experience and knowledge to make a lasting impact on the industry and the breed. He has worked in every facet of the industry from foaling to working with racehorses. When asked about his tenure in the industry he say, "I felt it was very important to work in all areas of industry and gain respect for every stage in developing a racehorse. There are so many hands and influences to get a horse to the races and I never wanted to take any stage of their development for granted. I have always felt so humbled and honored to work with these amazing athletes."
Our Services
At Blue Hen Thoroughbreds, LLC, we offer fractional ownership in thoroughbred fillies and mares. The owners will be able to follow their thoroughbreds life from birth to the racetrack. The unique part of Blue Hen Thoroughbreds is that owners can continue their ownership as breeders after their filly or mares racing career is finished and get to enjoy the progeny for years to come.
